I know what it feels like to want to stay in your community and struggle to find a home that meets your family’s needs. I want Chilliwack to be a place where young families can afford to put down roots.
I grew up in Chilliwack. Until recently, my wife and I were living in a small basement suite in Garrison with our firstborn. Our landlord was looking to reclaim the home for family, and with our own family growing, we needed more space.
We struggled to find an affordable rental in Chilliwack that worked for us. A place in Harrison Hot Springs became available at a price we could afford, so we moved shortly before I decided to run for council.
My wife and I both still work in Chilliwack, much of our day-to-day life is there, and we plan to move back. My commitment to Chilliwack remains strong.
I’m running to help build an affordable future for my family and other families like mine, with safe streets and strong neighbourhoods, growth that works, and respect for taxpayers.
