Clear Local Priorities

TODAY'S PRIORITIES.
TOMORROW'S CHILLIWACK.

Three priorities for a growing Chilliwack.

01

Safe Streets. Strong Neighbourhoods.

A safe, clean and well-cared-for community where families and businesses can thrive.

  • —Faster, visible response to recurring crime, disorder and damaged public spaces.
  • —Better coordination between the City, RCMP, businesses and health teams at repeat problem locations and during mental-health crises.
  • —Well-maintained parks, recreation and neighbourhood amenities that families actually use.
02

Growth That Works.

Growth should improve Chilliwack — not leave traffic, infrastructure and services struggling to catch up.

  • —Keep traffic moving and focus transportation investment on the intersections, crossings and corridors causing the greatest daily frustration.
  • —Support housing and responsible growth that fit neighbourhoods and contribute fairly to the infrastructure growth requires.
  • —Plan early for major needs including rail crossings, transportation, recreation and health-care capacity.
03

Respect for Taxpayers.

Keep spending disciplined while making sure roads, parks and core municipal services are working well.

  • —Put basics before extras and demand clear value from new spending.
  • —Maintain roads, parks and infrastructure before small problems become expensive failures.
  • —Make City Hall predictable and responsive for residents and local businesses, with clearer processes, fees and expectations.
